Movel AS is committed to handling personal information safely and securely. The purpose of this statement is to make it easier to understand what personal information we process, why it is collected and processed, and how we use it. It explains how you can exercise your rights once you have provided us with your personal information.

The Managing Director of Movel AS is responsible for the processing of personal data concerning the company’s customers.

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU?

When you establish a customer relationship with Movel AS, we register information about you.

The same applies when you register as a subscriber at Movel’s webpage.

The personal information we store includes the following:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Address
  • Parking space identification
  • Username for “My Page”
  • How you use Movel’s service, for example, when and how much energy you charge
  • Information we request when you report issues with our customer services

ABOUT COOKIES

When you use our website or services, personal information may be collected through cookies, for example. However, this is only done with separate consent.

If your browser (or equivalent equipment when accessing a website) is set to allow cookies when you visit the website, you are considered to have consented to such use.

Then information about usage and which pages are visited is stored. WHY DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

3) For marketing purposes, but this will only take place if we have obtained your consent.

4) We may also process your personal information if and to the extent necessary to fulfill obligations under law or regulation or to comply with orders from competent authorities.

Personal information that we ask you to provide, and which is marked as “mandatory” in any way, such as by using the * symbol, is required for us to be able to provide our services (for regulatory, contractual, administrative, technical, or similar reasons).

WHO CAN WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH?

We may share your personal information with our partners and advertisers if you participate in contests or surveys on the Services and otherwise where you have requested it or consented to us doing so. Such aggregated information does not contain personal information and cannot be linked to you.

We only cooperate with partners who process personal information within the EU/EEA or with companies that maintain the same level of protection as within the EU/EEA, for example by being connected to the so-called Privacy Shield agreement between the EU and the USA.

HOW LONG DO WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We will not store your personal information longer than necessary to fulfill the purposes described above in the section “Why do we collect your personal information?”. After this, we will delete or, in some cases, anonymize your personal information. We conduct regular reviews to identify stored personal information that should be deleted. As we process your personal information for various purposes, the length of time we store your information will vary.

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Protecting your personal information is important to us. All personal information you provide to us is stored on secure servers, and we take measures to protect against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information. Although we work hard to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee that this will prevent any unauthorized attempt to access, use, or disclose the information. We have security and response plans to quickly and effectively handle any physical or technical events to limit the negative effects of such events.

  • Right to restriction of processing: in certain cases, such as where you contest the accuracy of your personal data or where you have objected to our legitimate purposes in processing your information, you have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data until a solution is found.
  • Right to object to processing: in certain cases, such as if you dispute that we have a legitimate purpose in processing your personal data, you have the right to object to the processing of personal data for reasons related to your particular situation.
  • Right to data portability: if the processing of your personal data is carried out automatically and is based on consent or to fulfill our contractual relationship, you have the right to request that we provide you with access to personal data in a machine-readable format for transfer to another data controller.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with supervisory authorities: You have the right to lodge a complaint regarding our processing of your personal data with your competent supervisory authority.

If our processing of your personal data is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw such consent at any time. However, withdrawal of consent will not affect the processing we have carried out based on the consent before it was withdrawn. Withdrawal of consent is done by contacting us or by updating the settings in our Services where possible.
